Alas! We are back, unfortunately, from our weekend vacation at Tahoe where it was nice and cool yet sunny. I miss it already. We left last Friday with my friend Mo who met me at work. I had rented a Mountaineer SUV for the trip while Al shopped for food and packed everything. Upon arrival, we slept and woke up the next morning to start the day early. We drove by the beaches and hung out, went to Tahoe Keys Marina to check out the views and the cruiseship, took photo ops, went to Heavenly Village and watched a jazz band, rode the gondola throughout an elevation of approximately more than 9,000 feet and breathtaking views, hung out at the elevated deck at the near end of the gondola trip, ate at awesome buffets and restaurants, shopped for souvenirs, played the casinos, went window shopping at an arts and crafts street fair, played at the arcade, watched a comedy show as part of a summer series of concerts featuring Dennis Miller and Gary Valentine, hung out at the townhouse that we rented for the weekend and watched movies on cable while Al cooked breakfast, and of course, cuddled. The highlight of our trip was when Al won the jackpot on a slot machine at Ceasar's. I still couldn't believe that he is so darn lucky! He won the jackpot of $400 using $5, and an additional $70 with another $5 on the same machine. After winning, he treated us at the Roman Feast buffet. The day before that, he won $160 with $20 bucks! I played my fave slots of course, Price is Right. And other fun slots too while I broke even. At the arcade, I won two stuffed toys which I gave to Mo to give to my godchild, her son. It was fun, fun, fun! Next scheduled trip - the Mendocino Coast baby!
