After the concert, we parked underneath the bay bridge. It was such a nice sight at night with the well-lit bridge and the waterfront. We had bought some food from Tu-Lan earlier and ate the left overs while we parked and enjoyed the views. While we were driving by Embarcadero and Fisherman's wharf, my eye caught a corner restaurant which was still open at midnight, with 49er's and Giants banners. It was Carmen's Restaurant, the old and only Filipino restaurant famous for having their restaurant in the water. My mom used to bring me there. My friend used to work there. I always wondered what happened to them. I thought they closed or something. Didn't know they relocated. They still had a good location by the bay, although it looked more commercialized. I liked their little brown shack on the water before. But because of all the construction then in SF, I guess they were forced to relocate.
We also passed by SBC Park at night and they had huge banners in Willie Mays Plaza with big letters spelling out WTC. I think its in memory of 9/11. I suddenly got scared driving around downtown SF around 1 pm. What if we were at the wrong place at the wrong time?
