Happy Valentines Day!

The day of hearts. Greeetings to y'all! I went home for lunch to surprise Al since he's off today. He was really surprised and happy! I had to work overtime today since I had some things I needed to finish and Al kept sending messages on my ym. As soon as I got home, I opened the door and our place was clean! And on our bed was a dozen long-stem red roses and a card. I was smitten, very smitten. I asked him where he got the roses and said that he drove all the way to the city to get to the Flower Market on 6th street and asked for the best roses. He said there were a lot of people buying flowers as well. I love the flower market over there because they always have fresh flowers. I was teary-eyed when I read the card. Haha, I'm shallow. And he was dressed. He told me to dress up quickly so we can eat out for dinner he said. I asked where and he wouldn't tell me.

It seemed that he really planned this day for us. I was embarassed because I didn't have anything for him except that surprise visit during lunch. In the car, I saw his print out on yahoo maps and kinda figured where we're going for dinner. I guessed right - Benihana! Haha! How sweet! Anyway, it was sooo packed that when we signed up for a table, they said the wait was an hour and a half. We were so hungry that we decided to leave and go to the Japanese restaurant across called Kintetsu. We got a table right away. And the food was good, although a bit expensive. He ordered some sake and we got hit instantly with only one sip. We walked around the Japantown mall just to allow some digestion (and to sober up), and then decided to drive back going the Civic Center route. To our surprise, the SF City Hall was lit in red. It was such a glorious sight so we couldn't resist taking pictures. Al took the pic below. Cars beside us were also stopping to take pictures.

The red roses and card Al gave me.
