I just got a very pleasant letter from my grandma yesterday regarding an article that was published in Washington - an article about her life and accomplishments. Because of that, she was awarded a Lifetime Achievement award by the Filipino community there. This made me very proud, and reading the article made me realize a lot of things I didn't know about her. She truly deserves it anyway, and even more. At 92, she is still very sharp and still a passionate intellectual, although age has taken its toll on her body (but not her mind). I wish I can do something special for my grandma. I wish I can even relate to everyone how great and smart she is, and hope that the world can meet her. You will not be disappointed.
