The Promised Date
I felt so guilty pushing off our celebrations of Al's birthday and our anniversary since I feel its my fault that we didn't go because of my asthma. But I finally fulfilled my promise to go out with Al tonight. He chose to eat dinner at Cheesecake Factory in Oakridge. I honestly feel relieved that we're finally celebrating, although we vowed to keep celebrating for the rest of the week, hehehe. Anyway, at the restaurant, Al ordered really good grilled porkchops while I ordered the bang-bang chicken and shrimp. Of course, I wanted something with rice, hehehe. But I think I liked Al's food better. The chops were perfect. It's funny I say that because sometimes I eat at Cheesecake Factory in SF and I'm not satisfied with the way they cook food. It seemed that it wasn't good for me. But I was surprised that the chops were good! Btw, one of his fave dishes is pork chops (however you cook it) and second to sinigang. I asked Al which chops were better, the one he's eating right now, or the dish he ordered before at Beach Chalet in SF. He said Cheesecake Factory chops were better which I couldn't believe because he kept saying that the best chops he ever tasted were at Beach Chalet. Maybe we were just hungry, hahaha...
Prior to dinner while I was at work, my system was down for 5 hours since my ports were dead and I couldn't access the web, therefore I couldn't work, hehe. So I caught up with my reading in school while I waiting for it to be up. Helpdesk reactivated my ports and by the time I was up and running, the fire alarms in our building went off! We stayed outside for at least 20 minutes. As soon as we got in, I had to catch up with work and work overtime until 7 pm. So you can just imagine how excited and happy I was to see Al and go home.
Also at home, Al finally calls Dish Network to have it installed. They didn't have the channels TFC and GMA which we wanted (well not really, maybe GMA), but they do have the MABUHAY channel. We declined HDTV programming though since they didn't have much channels yet. We'll wait until they mandate it next year, or was it 2007?
