Dinner Fun at the Tenderloin
Believe it or not, I had to work in the morning, but only briefly. Afterwards, Al and I set our afternoon today to drive to San Francisco to meet with his friend, and also with a dear client in the Tenderloin district. I haven't visited her store for a while, so I was glad to see it again (especially now that they moved to the Bayanihan House on 6th. Al took some pictures to use for their site's graphics, and we chatted. Together with other Arkipelago peeps, we decided to eat dinner at Tu-Lan, our favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant in the city, and also one of the best eats in the Bay Area, according to Julia Childs. Anyhoo, it was a fun evening as we chatted the night away, ate good food, laughed at jokes, and drank some beer, hehe. We showed them our wedding album and they were getting confused with my family, and astounded at how many brothers and sisters I have, haha. Anyway, they missed the wedding, but we got treated for dinner and got a very nice and much needed wedding gift. Awwww, thanks so much!
Afterwards, we went straight to Dong's sister's place to meet up with him and another friend Violet. It was getting late, but they were still awake. I showed them our wedding videos, and we ate some good ensaymadas. It was nice to hang-out at Ate Myrna's and at the same time, we also visited her.
Dong, myself, and Violeta. Reunited and it feels so good!
