Quality Time with my God-Daughter
After a fun Saturday yesterday, Al and I decided to spend time with family. We just went to church in the morning and met up with my bro and family at Ikea in Palo Alto. We ate lunch and went shopping (duh). I bought some throw pillow covers (ones I've been wanting) and a small curtain for a side window at home. Since we were close to Stanford, we decided to continue our spree at Stanford Mall. While my bro and sis-in-law went shopping, we played with my niece Mia and spent a lot of time at Pottery Barn Kids. They had a whole toy kitchen and dining set, doll houses, and puppet theaters, so we probably spent most of our time there. We wanted to bring Mia to a Santa Claus photo op but she was scared of him, hehe. So we strolled around the nice mall, and she pretty much enjoyed dogs that pass by her way, flower beds, a fountain (we gave her pennies to throw in and she enjoyed that very much), a huge clock, escalators, and lit-up christmas trees. Ahhh, how nice it is be to be a kid. Playing with her gave me some perspective in things that we normally take for granted. I suddenly remembered how much I enjoyed my first escalator ride, hehe. Here are some pics I took with my cell cam -
Speaking of God-children, Al and I were asked by my cousin Michelle if we can be ninong and ninang to her son Jeremiah. We are honored, of course! And also, I'll be ninang to my cousin Melodie's cute daughter Rejinae. Awww... Okay, back to today's activites. Afterwards, Al and I got hungry, so we ate at Sonoma Chicken Coop in SJ. Man, I love their porkchop, although I ordered something else. Al ordered the chops though, and I ate his food, haha!
Miscellaneous stuff - Btw, I added more wedding pics at our wedding photo site. Jep gave me his shots of the wedding so I added them for those who want to view it (under Wedding Extras > Random Shots). We passed by our wedding church venue, and the park next to it is already setting up for Christmas. Can't wait for Christmas in the Park! We're definitely bringing Mia there! At home today, we were watching Subterranean and saw an awesome band named TV on the Radio (heard about them a while back but I ignored them until now). On the radio, we heard Lily Allen who is cool too. In the movie world, promising mainstream movies are coming out (for a change). There's Babel with Brad Pitt, Blood Diamond with Leonardo di Caprio, and Bobby with an all-star cast. While watching Desperate Housewives, Al thought of doing something with pictures. I guess he watched too many iPod commercials, haha! Check it out below -
