Annabel's Bridal Shower @ Flavors
I woke up late today, rushing to prepare for Anne's bridal shower. Good thing Al and I did some shopping for her gift last night, and I was able to have it ready by the next morning. But because of me rushing to get ready, I totally forgot to bring the invite with the directions on it. Good thing my other friend May had the invite so I called her up but she wasn't going. I tried convincing her to go with me but to no avail. At first, I got a little lost on my way to the venue because one of the streets didn't have a sign. I just gave Anne a call and I found my way.
The chinese restaurant Flavors Palace was nice. I sat beside Anne and chatted mostly with her cousin Jocelyn. The food was abundant, with a feast of fish, prawns, pork, chicken, etc. Yeah, chinese banquet style, with a lot of left-overs to bring home. Btw, I also won a DVD of Sense and Sensibility because my wedding date was the closest to Anne and Dave's. It's cool, coz I love that movie (I had it before but someone borrowed it and didn't return it back). The fun part was opening gifts. A lot of people brought Victoria Secret boxes and bags (including me). And it was funny opening the gifts because it was a public place, and some were really skimpy. I got her some 'edible' creams and lip gloss that I'm hoping would go with the black slip I gave her as well. I also added a book, Chicken Soup for the Bride's Soul. Congrats again my dear sweet Annabel!
