The Sex Pistols Band Reunited?
So I was watching Jay Leno's late night show and suddenly he announces his musical guest. At first I couldn't believe it and I wasn't sure if I heard him right, but yep, he called out the Sex Pistols. At first I didn't know what to expect and I was thinking it might be a cover band or a halloween prank, but it was really them! With John Lydon leading the pack. The style has changed, the look has aged, but the sound was still tight! They sounded awesome (am not sure about the gyrating movements by Lydon though). His movements might have been cool when he was younger, but it kinda looks funny now that he's older. Anyway, am looking forward to a US tour (that would be a cool concert to watch - a once in a lifetime opportunity).
Anyway, speaking of music (and I wanted to relax from the earthquake), I converted the new iPod theme called Music is My Hot Hot Sex by the band CSS for my radio.blog (by the way, we saw this band at Neumos in Seattle a couple of months ago and they were awesome!) Check it out on my radio blog on my right sidebar. I always thought Lovefoxx of this band is kewl. Oh and happy birthday to my friend May! Hope you have a good one! This song's for you, hehehe.
UPDATE - I found out that this ad was taken from Nick Haley, an 18 year old from England who created his own iPod Touch commercial, plugged in CSS' song since he's a fan, and posted it on YouTube. Apple execs saw the video and flew him all the was from England to LA to help produce the video. Also, SFGate reports on how music is now an avenue to feature not-so-popular bands that want to break into the mainstream. Check out this article on bands are getting exposure through TV ads. MTV sucks!
